SUMMARY
Provides
immediate and expert information systems support services
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Coordinate and monitor application run,
review, job logs, record results, initiate appropriate corrective action,
special applications backups
2. Provide immediate and expert information
systems support services, including application support, production scheduling,
and FOCUS technical support in specified applications
3. Develop application reports using a report
generating language (FOCUS)
4. Participate in the design and development to
implement information systems solutions
5. Monitor system resources such as disk space
and CPU time, and ensure adequate resources
6. Study and document current operating
procedures and make recommendations for improvement
7. Maintain high level of communication with
clients to achieve desired results
8. Record and report statistical information on
services provided
9. Work as a team member, in shared office
spaces and with sensitive and confidential information
10.
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Minimum,
Associates degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or
related field. Experience in
applications programming, preferably in an Open-VMS environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability
to read and interpret documents such as technical and professional
manuals, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of organization.
