SUMMARY
Instructional Technology Assistants II,
works to aid the Director of Instructional Technology in coordinating
Instructional Technology activities including the purchase, scheduling,
delivery, installation, and maintenance of equipment at the various campus
sites and aids the Director in setting part-time employee schedules. The Assistants II trains faculty and staff to
use Instructional Technology equipment as necessary.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the
following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.
Travels to various STC campuses to aid the Director in coordinating the
Instructional Technology activities throughout the college district.
2.
Assists the Director in identifying the Instructional Technology needs
of the various campuses/centers.
3.
Coordinates scheduling, delivery, and set-up of Instructional
Technologies equipment.
4.
Assists the Director in ensuring that Instructional Technologies
equipment is properly maintained at all campus/center sites.
5.
Works with the Director to set the schedules of and supervises part-time
and student workers.
6.
Works with Director and Instructional Technologies Specialist to design
presentational and classroom technologies systems
7.
Leads or serves on installation team for Instructional Technologies
8.
Troubleshoots and repairs problems with Instructional Technologies
equipment
9.
Schedules and coordinates satellite and steaming video events
10. Maintains a current inventory of
Instructional Technologies
equipment
11. Schedules and assigns service calls
for Instructional Technologies equipment
12. Produces monthly and annual reports
on the usage of Instructional Technologies equipment
13. Assists in production of
instructional and institutional media projects
14. Presents Instructional Technology
sessions at college professional development events
15. Trains faculty, staff, and student
to use Instructional Technologies equipment
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Proven computer literacy including use of common applications
3.
Familiarity with the operation, maintenance, and installation of
audiovisual equipment.

Basic familiarity with digital imaging and video editing software
5.
Valid current
6.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends,
when necessary
7.
Ability to work under pressure in an often rapidly changing environment
8.
Ability to work individually and as a member of a team.
EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE
*Associate's Degree or 60 college hours.
*3 years experience in related field,
preferably in an educational setting.
*International Communications Industries
Association, Certified Technology Specialist preferred.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents
such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence.
REASONING
ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and
deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
